Born in 1979, in São Paulo, Brazil, Petê Rissatti is a literary translator. He has a bachelor’s degree from UNIBERO in Language and Literature (major in Translation English–Portuguese) and completed a specialization course (lato sensu post graduation) in Translation from German into Brazilian Portuguese from the University of São Paulo. He has already translated more than 50 fiction and nonfiction books, among them works by Stefan Zweig, Hans Fallada, Judith Schalansky, Timur Vermes, Michael Kumpfmüller, George R. R. Martin, John Scalzi, Veronica R, Brandon Sanderson and Peter V. Brett to a number of Brazilian publishing houses. He is editor-in-chief of Metáfrase, the ABRATES magazine. He has participated as lecturer and panelist in many events in Brazil and abroad, and teaches literary translation and creative writing in courses and workshops. He is author of Requiem: Sonhos Proibidos, a dystopic novel already translated into German by Vladimir Golombek (Requiem: Verbotene Träumeand released on Amazon’s self-publishing platform.
